What is Weather?

 

Whether the weather be wet,

Or whether the weather be hot,

We’ll weather the weather,

Whatever the weather,

Whether we like it or not.

 

The popular rhyme above explains that we have no control over the weather

 

Weather is the state of the atmosphere around us.

There is no weather in space. It only exists in the lowest 10km. Above that it is calm and still

 

The following words are often used to describe the weather

Hot, warm, mild, cold, freezing, sunny, raining, windy, snowing, foggy, misty, hail, sleet, stormy, thundery
